Location

Set in the Quercy Blanc, on the borders of the departements of Lot and of Tarn et Garonne, Souquet Haut is in the commune of Sauveterre. Cahors is 24 kms north and Montauban about 30kms to the south-west. The nearest market is in the bastide village of Castelnau-Montratier (about 4kms), which has good local shops and some bars and brasseries and a Spar supermarket.

Souquet Haut is served by several airports: Toulouse (72km) about an hour and a quarter, Bergerac about 2 hours, and Bordeaux about 2 hours.  Check BA, Ryanair, Easyjet, and Flybe. The nearest railway station is Cahors (c.25km), about 5 hours from Paris. Montauban (c.30km) has direct TGV trains from Paris in just under 5 hours (fastest).
